First Flock-Herd Winner Ethan Richner

Ethan is the nine-year-old son of Jordan and Megan Richner. Ethan and his parents live near El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Ethan is a member of the Union Hall 4-H Club and attends school at Stockton Elementary. Ethan started showing sheep when he was five years old at the local youth fair. He also showed market goats the last two years, and they quickly became his favorite species.

Ethan says he enjoys their personality and working with them. When asked about his goals for his goat project he said, “I want to raise the Grand Champion Market Goat at the Missouri State Fair”. Aside from showing sheep and goats, Ethan enjoys playing basketball, writing and illustrating graphic novels, and playing with his Corgi named Oreo.
