Laparoscopic Artificial Insemination Breeding (LAI)

A minimally invasive surgery to deposit semen of your choice into the uterus of your female to inseminate them. This highly successful approach allows you to manage genetics as well as desired lambing or kidding timeframes.

How does it work?…..

Follow the RSG protocols to prepare your animal for optimum results

Preprogramming

Programming

  • Follow the synchronization program protocol for CIDR insert and removal timing
  • Arrive at the schedule time for your LAI
  • Post procedure, continue to provide low stress environments and high quality nutrition for your females to maximize conception rates

Embryo Transfer (ET)

Embryo transfer is reserved for the animals you wish to more rapidly multiply. This technology is used to super stimulate the donor candidates in an effort to increase the number of annual offspring produced by the chosen donor. Once the female is super-stimulated, she is inseminated to allow the embryos to develop naturally in the uterus. Then in the days following insemination the embryos will be recovered through a surgical recovery procedure. The recovered embryos will be transferred into a healthy recipients, or surrogates, that carry the embryos to full term.
