USLGE Educational Training Reaches Nigeria and Kenya

RSG was proud to participate in a USLGE educational training event for sheep and goat producers in Nigeria and Kenya! With over 700 registrants, the training focused on advancing sheep and goat production through reproductive technologies, artificial insemination, and genetic selection.

Industry experts shared valuable insights and practical strategies to help producers improve flock and herd performance through enhanced breeding practices. We are excited about our international efforts and look forward to the future!

Check out the work RSG is doing internationally.

RSG Sheep & Goat Genetics Catalog

Looking for genetics to add to your breeding program? The RSG Sheep and Goat Genetics Catalogs make it easy to explore semen available from a growing selection of sires.

New genetics are added regularly, giving breeders more opportunities to find sires that fit their program. Browse, select and purchase semen directly through our online catalog.

Once purchased, genetics can be stored at RSG, shipped to you, or picked up on-site when needed.

Questions about available genetics or placing an order? Contact our team at 765-978-0301.

Genetics Team Highlights: A Successful October!

October was a busy month for the RSG Genetics Team! Throughout the month, our team collected 67 sires and froze 11,658 units of semen, nearly doubling the number of units frozen in October 2025!

These accomplishments reflect our commitment to providing breeders with high-quality genetics. If you need a buck or ram collected this fall, our genetics team would be excited to serve you!

Incredible Week with National FFA Members

During the National FFA Convention, we had the privilege of welcoming over 1,300 FFA members from 20 states to our Lebanon, Indiana, facility!

Students had the opportunity to tour our facility, learn about reproductive technologies, and explore career opportunities within the livestock industry.

We are incredibly thankful for the FFA chapters, advisors, and students who took the time to visit us. It was inspiring to connect with the next generation of agricultural leaders, and we look forward to continuing to support the future of agriculture!

🎃 Don’t Toss Those Pumpkins Just Yet!

Halloween may be over, but your leftover pumpkins can still be put to good use! Did you know that sheep and goats can eat pumpkins?

Pumpkins provide fiber, moisture, and nutrients such as beta-carotene, making them a fun addition to your flock or herd’s diet when fed in moderation.

A Few Tips for Feeding Pumpkins:

  • Keep it fresh: Only offer pumpkins that are free of mold, rot, paint, wax, or other decorations.
  • Make it manageable: Cut pumpkins into smaller, bite-sized pieces to reduce choking risks, especially for younger animals.
  • Seeds are okay: Plain pumpkin seeds can be consumed in moderation, but they should not be relied upon as a natural dewormer.
  • Feed in moderation: Pumpkins should be an occasional treat, not a replacement for a balanced diet of quality forage and appropriate nutrition.
