Are you ready for the 2023 Breeding Season?

CIDR INSERTION Insert CIDRs in a clean dust free area using extreme care to avoid injury to the female. Cut ball tip off from the end of the CIDR string. Apply a dab of lubricant to the tip of the CIDR prior to insertion. Wash applicators in clean water and betadine solution. Do not wash CIDRs in disinfectant.

Walk through your breeding groups twice a day to acclimate females to you, evaluate health status and check for intact CIDRs.

Semen Shipping, Pickups and Transfers

Be sure to allow for plenty of time to arrange for semen shipping, pickups and transfers. We have new forms online to help make these transactions go smoothly. Please start the process online well in advance of when you need semen for a breeding date to assure we can have your order fulfilled in time.

You will soon have more options for getting your pharmacy prescirptions and supplies from RSG. Watch for an email from us and our partner MyAnimalRx inviting you to a new online order portal.

You can continue to order certain repro specific products that will ship direct from RSG on our website. New FDA Regulations will come into effect on June 11^th of this year. Most over-the-counter antibiotics will now require a veterinary prescription. Check out these FAQ’s about the new regulation.

Welcome Audrey Galindo!

RSG would like to welcome Audrey Galindo to our Breeding Services Team. Audrey comes from southern California where she and her family raise and show club lambs.

Audrey is a graduate of Western Illinois University where she completed a degree in Animal Science and competed on the Livestock Judging Team. Most recently Audrey has served as an Embryologist for GenOvations Inc.

New Genetics Inventory Management Platform

We are excited to give you an update on our launch of the new Genetics Inventory Management Platform. In May we will begin Beta testing the new system with a few select clients. We are on track for a June roll out to all current semen storage customers. We look forward to bringing you the most advanced system for managing sheep & goat frozen semen and embryos.
