FFA Tours Set for National Convention

RSG is excited to welcome FFA members, advisors, and guests to its headquarters in Lebanon, Indiana, during the National FFA Convention, October 29 – November 1, 2025.

Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the newly opened RSG Sire Center, where they’ll learn about advanced reproductive services, including semen collection and freezing. Tours also showcase RSG’s laboratories, cutting-edge nutrition and performance products, and innovative livestock solutions.

Tours are offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST, lasting approximately one hour each. Last year, RSG hosted more than 1,300 students, advisors, and guests, and we look forward to welcoming even more this year!

Semen Freezing Season

Now’s the time to make sure your ram or buck is ready for semen collections!

Proper preparation ensures higher-quality semen and a smoother collection process.

  • Schedule early – Avoid the seasonal rush and get on the books early.
  • Body condition – Make sure your sire is in ideal condition, not too thin or overweight.
  • Health check – Trim hooves, update vaccinations, and check overall health.
  • Clean out – Be prepared by following our RSG Clean Out Guide before collection time.

RSG New Zealand Launches Global Search for General Manager

Reproduction Specialty Group New Zealand (RSG NZ), a leader in advanced animal reproduction technologies, is beginning a global search for its next General Manager. Based in Tamahere, Hamilton, RSG NZ provides innovative reproductive services across multiple species to both local and international markets.

The General Manager will oversee five main business units—cattle reproductive services, semen freezing, semen storage and dispatch, boar stud operations, and small ruminant reproductive services—while focusing on strategic growth, operational excellence, and innovation.

Candidates should have senior leadership experience in animal agriculture, biotechnology, or related fields, with expertise in reproductive technologies and international business development.

RSG NZ offers a competitive salary package, opportunities for professional development, relocation support for qualified international candidates, and the chance to work in New Zealand’s agricultural innovation hub.

Applications are welcome worldwide, with the selected candidate expected to start within three months of appointment.

Dutch Spotted Frozen Imported Embryos

RSG is pleased to offer imported frozen embryos from two of the United Kingdom’s most respected Dutch Spotted breeding programs: Laurelle Dutch Spotted and Corrennie Pedigree Livestock.

Known for their striking markings, impressive growth rates, and exceptional meat quality, Dutch Spotted sheep are one of Europe’s fastest-growing breeds in popularity. Laurelle and Corrennie have built their reputations on producing structurally correct, well-muscled animals with strong maternal traits and outstanding breed character.

These elite embryos provide U.S. breeders with the opportunity to introduce proven, championship-winning bloodlines into their flocks, offering:

  • Excellent growth and carcass quality ideal for both terminal and maternal programs
  • Distinctive black-and-white spotted markings with strong breed type

2025 Holiday Sale

RSG Foundation Seeks Donation for Holiday Fundraising Auction

The RSG Foundation will hold our annual Holiday Auction in November on Willoughby Online Sales. If you have products or services you would like to donate to support this effort, please email us at: lisa.edge@rsgfoundationinc.org

 

In the past, breeders have donated genetics, fishing trips, on-farm experiences, artwork, handmade items, and more.

 

Your support helps us raise funds for youth education, grants, thought leadership programs, and other initiatives to support the sustainability of the small ruminant industry.

 

Auction Date: November 18th, 2025

 

Donations due by October 31st.

All donors receive an acknowledgment letter of your donation to our 501-c3. If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you may be entitled to claim a charitable deduction for your RSG Foundation donations.

Apply Now for a First Flock-Herd Grant from the RSG Foundation!

Are you or someone you know a young person dreaming of raising sheep or goats? The RSG Foundation’s First Flock-Herd Grant is designed to help youth across the country get started in livestock by awarding funding toward the purchase of their very first breeding ewe or doe.

 

The application is open to youth ages 8–20 who are passionate about agriculture and ready to take the next step in livestock ownership. Applicants will be asked to share their goals, experience, and how they plan to care for and grow their new flock or herd.
