A note from Dr. Tad Thompson, DVM –
As we are transitioning into the second quarter of the year I wanted to provide a brief up date as we are continuing to work through some very large projects to better serve you. We have significantly outgrown the computer system for managing our frozen genetics inventory. As a result some functions and reporting have not been working correctly. A year ago we began working with developers to write a new modern system that is more user friendly for our clients and efficient for our team. The new platform will allow for improved mobile use, real time reporting, and embryo storage tracking. The system is expected to be online between May and June of this year.
In December of 2022 we began a straw-by-straw audit of every tank and location we have to assure the new platform has the most accurate information. We are physically counting more than 300,000 straws of semen and tracking locations. The target for this process is to be completed by Friday of this week. Reconciliation and integration into the new program will begin immediately thereafter.
We are excited to share the new program with you. Our team remains dedicated to you and this critical project. Thank you for being our client and for your patience as we work through getting you an improved system. Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Tad Thompson, DVM
