Partnering with Practitioners (PwP)
– for Small Ruminants

Driven by RSG. Born in Trans Ova Labs.

Reproduction Specialty Group (RSG), in partnership with Trans Ova Genetics, is expanding bringing the Partnering with Practitioners (PwP) model to the small ruminant industry. Creating new opportunities for exciting PwP’s and veterinarians looking to expand their services, grow their practices, and deliver small ruminant advanced reproductive technologies to their clients.

This model is designed specifically for large animal veterinarians and their staff who want to offer IVF and advanced breeding services, without the need to build or operate their own laboratory.

What is the RSG PwP Model?

The PwP (Partnering with Practitioners) program was originally developed by Trans Ova Genetics to extend access to advanced reproductive technologies through trusted veterinary practices in the cattle industry. Now RSG is evolving it into the small ruminate industry.

Under this model:

  • RSG coordinates the schedule between the practitioner and TOG lab’s
  • Veterinary practitioners perform on-farm or clinic-based aspiration procedures
  • Trans Ova laboratories handle fertilization, embryo development, and cryopreservation
  • The veterinary practice maintains control of client relationships, scheduling, and billing
  • RSG will invoice the practitioner for the embryos created by the TOG labs

How the PwP Workflow Functions

The PwP model is designed to allow veterinarians to operate independently while leveraging best-in-class professional & lab services:

  1. Veterinary Practice Enrollment
Practice is approved and onboarded through RSG
  2. Training & Certification
Veterinarians can participate in LOPU training by RSG which provides certification on procedures and protocols. Joining a published list of certified practitioners for clients to search for practitioners in their area to provide aspiration services.
  3. Client Service Delivery
    1. OPU procedures performed at your clinic or on-farm
    • Synchronization and donor management handled by your team
  1. Lab Processing
    • Oocytes shipped to Trans Ova laboratories
    • Fertilization and embryo development performed by one of the 10 Trans Ova
  1. Embryo Distribution
    • Fresh or frozen embryos returned to you for transfer or storage
