2023 Breeding Season Schedule

Planning for the 2023 Breeding Season is under way! Our Customer Success team is putting together our Spring schedule as we speak! If you are looking to breed for Fall lambing or kidding, now is your time to get on the books.

Some things to think about before putting your work request in are: ideal time windows, important dates or days of the week, non negotiable events to avoid conflicting with and what your program goals are.

Colostrum 101

Colostrum is the thicker, more yellow appearing milk produced during the first few days after birth and contains high levels of immunoglobulins, antimicrobial peptides, and growth factors.

Quick Tip to ensure the consumption of colostrum: If you are presented with a situation where you lose the lambs/kids and they had not yet nursed, milking the colostrum from the mother and freezing it is another great option for a scenario for a future instance where you have a mother who maybe didn’t produce any or you lose a mother and cannot nurse her.
